The power supply system is clearly structured and includes 4 stages . The first two are aimed at reducing weight, the other two are aimed at consolidating the results obtained and stabilizing what has been achieved. The basis of the diet is the consumption of a sufficient amount of protein foods and a low intake of carbohydrates and fats. On the Dukan diet, you must definitely eat oat bran and drink enough water (1.5-2 liters). An important element of the diet is physical activity, at least 30 minutes of daily walks.  The freedom to choose foods in compliance with certain restrictions helps not only to lose weight, but ultimately to come to a proper diet. Variety on the menu, rapid weight loss in the first days of the diet help those who are losing weight to establish themselves and keep the desire to lose weight, seeing their own achievements.  You can learn more about the nutritional system of Dr. Ducan in the articles on our website.

In continuation of a series of articles with a review of medical diets , where we briefly described the targeted therapeutic purpose and analyzed the components of the diet, we will consider table number 2 - a diet prescribed for certain dysfunctions of the gastrointestinal tract. Chicken eggs, as in diets # 8 and # 9, are a significant and important part of the diet.

Recall that any appointment of a medical diet is associated with limitations in the functionality of certain processes in our body and only a doctor can prescribe them. The authors of the article strongly recommend that you undergo a mandatory consultation with doctors specializing in the problem before using any diet. Only they can identify the source of discomfort, pain or feeling unwell.

So, table number 2 or diet number 2 is prescribed when the functional activity of the gastrointestinal tract changes.

Among the indications for diet number 2 - not only chronic gastritis, colitis and enteritis, but also the recovery period after transferring an infectious disease or the stage of rehabilitation after surgery. If there is difficulty in swallowing - this is also an indication for the use of diet number 2. In fact, even if you are absolutely healthy, but for an aesthetic purpose, you decided to wear braces - you cannot do without diet number 2 at least at the first stage.

The key focus of diet No. 2 is a gentle diet for the digestive system: the dishes are thermally processed and crushed as much as possible, hot sauces, spices and dishes that are heavy for the stomach are completely excluded from the menu. This diet creates conditions for normal digestion in case of dysfunction of gastric and intestinal secretion, chewing, and swallowing.

It is necessary to emphasize that during the period of exacerbation of pathologies, diet No. 2 is not used. Only a doctor will be able to give you the correct recommendations and the exact timing of the diet.

Also, The Appointment Of This Diet Is Impossible With Such Concomitant Diseases As:

pancreatitis.

hepatitis.

cholecystitis.

stones in the gallbladder.

Once again, we note that agreeing on the advisability of using the diet with the attending doctor is an important and mandatory point for the appointment of any medical diet. Your doctor can help you adjust calories based on your overall health and energy needs, depending on your lifestyle. It is forbidden, even if all the main indications for the use of any medical diet coincide, to independently apply therapeutic nutrition schemes.

As with any diet, maintaining proportions in protein, fat and carbohydrate intake, as well as plant-to-animal food ratios, is a key success factor.

Advantages and disadvantages

Definitely, diet number 2 is one of the most loyal in terms of the variety of permitted products and methods of their preparation. Even frying is allowed, but steaming or grilling is desirable. Even following all the recommendations, you can eat tasty and quite varied daily.

The only downside to this diet is the need to spend more time preparing food than usual. Of course, it will take twice as long to prepare a stew than a fried one. There is no way to cut a salad and eat it right away or have a snack with an apple - everything needs to be thermally processed and grated. But it's worth it. If you don't have a multicooker yet, take a closer look at the assortment, the functions of this device are very wide and any dish, even fried, turns out to be healthy in the end.

It is very possible that after the end of the treatment you will discover new recipes and such food will become your daily choice, but not in the form of a diet, but as a daily healthy food. And if you add physical activity to such a diet, you will be provided with good work of the digestive system and a figure!
